Frank Lampard has stressed the importance of improving Everton’s woeful away record but insists their season won’t rest on getting a result at Tottenham on Monday (Match Betting – Tottenham 8/13, Draw 16/5, Everton 9/2).
Everton (4/1 To be relegated) have lost three of their four Premier League outings since Lampard replaced Rafael Benitez in the dugout.
That form has left them sitting just one point and one place above the relegation zone ahead of facing Tottenham on Monday, although they do have games in hand on their rivals at the bottom of the table.
The major factor in Everton’s struggles this term has on the road, picking up just six points, and they have the worst away record in the division.
Lampard has stressed the need to start picking up points on their travels but he did concede it “won’t necessarily be changed overnight”.

The former Chelsea boss admits it will be tough to pick up just their second away win of the campaign when they head to Tottenham.
“Tottenham is a difficult match away from home. We haven’t been great away from home all season,” Lampard said.
“Our season doesn’t rest on Tottenham on Monday night but we have to work hard to prepare to try to get results in this patch of the season, which will be crucial for us.
“It is important to remain calm and consistent and remain focused on the work and the players have done that and I hope we see the benefits.”
Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be involved for the Merseyside outfit after recovering from a groin problem, while Andre Gomes is also expected to be available, however, Ben Godfrey has been ruled out.
Tottenham (10/3 Top 4 finish), who sit sixth after beating Leeds in their last Premier League outing, have Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura back in contention.
