St Helens coach Kristian Woolf believes Huddersfield Giants (Match betting – St Helens 2/7, Huddersfield 3/1, Tie 20/1) will cause them problems when they go head-to-head in Super League at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday evening.
Saints still top the table as they look to win their fourth consecutive Super League crown, having secured a big win against title rivals Wigan Warriors at Magic Weekend last time out.
They came through to win 20-18 thanks to a late try from Jonny Lomax, meaning they are now four points clear at the top of the standings.
Things don’t get much easier for Woolf’s men as they welcome Huddersfield to Merseyside for another top-three clash.
The Giants have been outstanding under Ian Watson so far this season, with the coach rewarded recently with a new long-term contract.
They came close to winning the Challenge Cup, but were just edged out by Wigan and have gained plaudits for their effective style of rugby.

And, despite his side sitting pretty at the top, Woolf is not taking the game lightly and thinks his team will be put under immense pressure.
He said: “They are a top-three team and we have had that view since the start of the year. They have a tough approach about them – they get you into set for set and complete really high.
“They kick into bad areas and make you work off your own try line consistently and they have a definite structure as to how they play. They are well prepared and well coached.”
Friday’s other game sees Wigan in action as they take on Hull FC (Match betting – Wigan 1/6, Hull FC 9/2, Tie 25/1), who are fresh from their Magic Weekend triumph against city rivals Hull KR.
That win took them up to fifth in the table, while Wigan remained second after their narrow loss to the league-leading Saints.
