Tiger Woods confirmed on Tuesday he intends to play in The Masters this week and the American star is 50/1 to win a record-equalling sixth Green Jacket after being grouped alongside Joaquin Niemann and 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen for the first two rounds.
All the focus was on Woods’ Tuesday’s press conference after he sparked huge excitement by heading to Augusta National and taking part in some practice rounds.
When asked whether he will be participating this week, the American, who won his fifth Green Jacket in 2019, told the media: “As of right now I feel like I am going to play. I’m going to play nine more holes tomorrow.
“My recovery has been good. I’ve been very excited about how I’ve recovered each and every day.”
Woods will be teeing it up alongside 2022 Genesis Invitational winner Niemann, who is 45/1 to break his major duck this week, and 2010 Open winner Oosthuizen, priced at 40/1 to win the Masters for the first time.

Justin Thomas, a 12/1 chance to win his first Green Jacket, is grouped with defending champion Hideki Matsuyama and amateur James Piot, while world number one Scottie Scheffler will be joined over the first two days by fellow American Tony Finau and Australian Adam Scott.
Rory McIlroy, aiming to complete the Grand Slam with a win this week, is grouped with Brooks Koepka and Matthew Fitzpatrick, while Jon Rahm, Will Zalatoris and Patrick Cantlay will be playing together.
