It’s the start of another new week of racing and there are six meetings to follow across the UK and Ireland on Monday.

They go at Newton Abbot, Ffos Las and Ayr in the afternoon, before evening meetings at Windsor and Wolverhampton, while the sole Irish action comes from Killarney.

The first race of the day is at Newton Abbot and there are six races from the South West venue, with the last due off at 16:15.

In the penultimate contest at 15:45, Betfred are offering their Extra Place promotion, paying three places in this seven-runner affair.

Al Muffrih (7/2) is a dangerous contender and looked the part when returning from a five-month break to finish fourth on his handicap hurdle debut at Uttoxeter two weeks ago.

Others to note include Sergeant (9/4) and Windy Cove (15/2).

Latest Horse Racing Events

Ayr has six races on Monday, starting at 13:50 and finishing up after the 16:35, while the racing from Ffos Las is on between 14:15 and 16:55.

In the 15:55, Betfred are paying out on four places and this is a race in which Hagia Sophia (17/2) can shine in.

She struggled in her first four runs for this yard, but finally turned things around with a close third at Chepstow at the end of last month and, stepping back up trip, this outing should suit.

Windsor’s evening action takes place between 17:35 and 20:05, where there are six races, and Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion, paying three places, is also available in the 19:05.

This should suit Lequinto (7/2), who was successful in a similar event over C&D last month when dropped back to 6f for the first time since 2020. Now up 5lb, he must be respected.

The all-weather action at Wolverhampton starts at 17:55 and goes on until the seventh and final race at 20:55 while in Ireland, Killarney’s meeting – which features seven race as well – is on between 17:15 and 20:15.
