It’s another packed day of racing across the UK and Ireland on Saturday 9th July with seven meetings to get stuck into, including the third and final day of Newmarket’s July Festival.
First up on Saturday is a trip to racing HQ in Suffolk as Newmarket’s July Festival comes to its conclusion and there are seven fantastic races to take in, starting at 13:30 and concluding at 17:00.
Extra places are being paid out in the 15:50 and the 16:25 and it is the latter of those – the Group 1 Darley July Cup Stakes – that will be garnering huge attention in East Anglia.
A high-class field of 14 will battle it out for July Cup glory and Perfect Power, winner of the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot last month, is 5/2 to repeat that feat, although stiff competition is expected from 11/2 Artorius and 5/1 Creative Force.

It’s off to Irish shores next for a seven-race meeting at Navan (13:37-17:07) before the attention then swings back to English soil for another seven-race offering at York (13:45-17:15).
The 14:55 and the finale in York both benefit from the extra place promotion, while the 16:05 – the John Smith’s Cup Handicap over 1m 2f 56yds – is the Super Extra Place Race in which 9/2 Mahrajaan is expected to go well.
Ascot then stages seven races, the action running from 13:50 until 17:20, and there is once again the chance to take advantage of the extra place promotion in the 15:00 and the 15:35.
Up next is Chester’s seven-race meeting, which runs from 13:58 until 17:30, while they also go off the same number of times at Salisbury (17:45-20:45) for the penultimate meet of the day.
Last, but by no means least, the action is brought to a close in Scotland with Hamilton’s six-race card (18:00-20:30) and there are extra places on offer in the 19:00 and 20:00.
