Today's Horse Racing Odds: Saturday 12th March

Punters can follow six meetings on Thursday, with cards from Ripon, Newmarket, Cheltenham, Clonmel, Bath and Exeter.

The highlight is the final day of the Craven Meeting at Newmarket where they again have seven races between 13:15 and 16:45 and Betfred’s Extra Place Race is available on both the 15:35 and 16:10.

Focus here goes to the first of those, the feature Feilden Stakes, where Andrew Balding’s Masekela is 13/8 to score but don’t discount Charlie Hills’ 3/1 Sonny Liston or Martyn Meade’s 11/4 Cresta.

They start at Ripon slightly before that with their seven contests taking place between 13:00 and 16:35.

The Extra Place Race promotion is available on the 15:25 where 15/8 Galileo Glass looks set to be a contender after finishing second at Windsor last Monday over this same mile trip.

They go over the jumps at Cheltenham for another seven races from 13:30 to 17:00 and Betfred’s Extra Place Race is on the 15;15 and closer. However, this card also includes the Super Extra Place Race on the 14:40 and 15:50.

In the former, Kissesforkatie stands out at 11/2 after a fine win at Chepstow last month, while 70 minutes later, 6/1 La Renommee could be worth a look after seemingly showing the troubles that have plagued her since joining Dr Richard Newland’s yard were behind her with a fine run at Huntingdon three weeks ago.

Into the evening and the sole Irish card of the day runs at Clonmel from 16:15 to 19:20.

The Extra Place is on both the 17;20 and 18:50 and in that penultimate offering, Tuckmill is 5/2 to double up after a brilliant Naas win a fortnight ago.

Onto Bath’s seven-racer from 16:20 and 19:30 where as well as the opener and 17:30 carrying the Extra Place Race, this card also features the Free Bet if 2nd promotion.

The 18:00 is involved with Covert Mission 2/1 to follow up after winning at Kempton 57 days ago, while an hour later Master Greyhas been reduced from 9/1 to 7/1 overnight after some improving runs in an attempt to end a 22-run losing streak.

Finally to Exeter’s card between 16:40 and 19:40 where the Extra Race Place is on the 17:40 and 18:40.

David Pipe’s Kolisi is 6/4 to make it a three-timer in the first of those, while an hour later, first time cheekpieces could well aid 4/1 Blended Stealth after a strong third at Huntingdon last time out.
