There are six race meetings to take in across the UK and Ireland on Thursday, including a prestigious evening card from Sandown that will bring the day’s action to a close.
Yarmouth will be our first port of call for a seven-race card from 13:00-16:05, with the opener benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ offer and the races at 14:30 and 15:00 seeing the ‘Extra Place’ promotion come into play.
The finale from Yarmouth will also have a promotion available, with the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ offer coming into play for that 16:05 handicap – a race where Habanero Star (11/4) and Chloellie (10/1) are expected to lock horns once again, the former having narrowly edged out the latter over C&D just last week.

There will also be an afternoon start from Haydock where they go to post for seven races from 13:10-16:15, with Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion coming into play for the opener and races at 14:40 and 15:10.
Ripon will also host a seven-race card between 13:20-16:25, while the final three meetings of the day will be evening starts, including at Carlisle where seven races will take place from 16:40-20:10.
The 17:50 and 20:10 from Carlisle will both benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer, the latter is a race where Jamil (5/2) could perform well following some strong recent showings.
The sole offering of the day from Ireland will be Limerick’s seven-race meeting, also the only jumps card on Thursday, that goes to post at 16:50 and concludes at 20:20.
Again Betfred will have promotional offers available from Limerick, with the races at 18:00, 18:35 and 19:45 all seeing the ‘Extra Place’ deal come into play.
Sandown will then round off the action with their Brigadier Gerard Stakes Evening, with six races due to take place at the Esher track between 17:40 and 20:35.
That card includes the Listed National Stakes at 18:15, as well as a pair of Group 3 contests, the Henry II Stakes at 18:50 and the feature Brigadier Gerard Stakes at 19.25.
The latter of those races could see an intriguing battle develop between John & Thady Gosden’s Mostahdaf (6/5), who was a recent C&D winner, as well the William Haggas-trained Addeybb (11/4), who was a runner-up in last year’s Eclipse at the same venue.
