There is plenty of racing action to get stuck into across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday 3rd August with meetings from Pontefract, Brighton, Newcastle, Kempton, Yarmouth and Sligo.
It’s off to the North East for the opening meet of the day, a seven-race card from Newcastle that runs from 13:30 until 16:30, and there is an extra place to take advantage of in the 14:30.
Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion also comes into effect in the 15:30 and the Geoffrey Harker-trained Rocket Rod, who is searching for a third straight victory, is 6/4 to continue what has been a great run of form.
We head south next for Brighton’s seven-race offering, the action running from 13:40 until 16:40, and there are once again extra places to make the most of in the 15:40 and the 16:10.
The attention then swings over to West Yorkshire for seven races at Pontefract (14:20-17:20) and the 16:20 benefits from the extra place promotion, while the 16:50 is the Super Extra Place Race.

With Betfred paying four places instead of three for each-way bets at a fifth of the odds in the 16:50, it could be worth having a look at 17/2 Sherdil, who has picked up two victories from the last three outings.
The focus then switches to the Norfolk seaside resort of Yarmouth and there are another seven races (17:10-20:10) to get stuck into at the track, with an extra place being paid out in the Classified Stakes at 19:40.
Kempton’s eight-race card is the penultimate meeting of the day, the action running from 17:15 until 20:50, and there are extra places to utilise in the opener and the 19:20.
Last, but by no means least, the final action comes from Ireland as Sligo’s seven-race offering (17:30-20:30) rounds off a fantastic day of racing, with extra places being paid out in the 18:00, 20:00 and the finale.
