US Horse Racing Odds: Friday 29th July

There are 10 North American cards for punters to peruse on Friday, with nine offerings from the US and Canadian action at Woodbine.

They are first off at Laurel Park, with their nine races running from 17:40 to 22:03. The 18:13 and 19:19 both carry Betfred’s Extra Place and in the former, 5/4 Fortes drops down in class and could be one to consider in that Claiming.

Next come those eight contests at Woodbine running from 18:00 and 21:43 and the opener again features the Extra Place and 5/2 Tragically Quewick is another who goes in an easier class and looks well placed to land a third career success.

Back Stateside to Saratoga’s 10 races from 18:05 and 23:08 and the 19:11 and 20:13 are the destination for the Extra Place here and the unbeaten Fingal’s Cave (9/4) is expected to have a say in the former.

Meanwhile, just over an hour later, Sweeping Giant (5/6) should be ready to roll after a break since last September. After a couple of runners-up finishes, the decision was taken to rest him following an eighth in a higher grade and this race looks suitable for his return.

There are eight contests at Kentucky’s Ellis Park, with them set to go off at 18:50 and running through to 22:10.

The closer is one of two Extra Place offerings and after following up a third with a second, could Tiffany’s Mo (4/1) finally get the score?

There’s a later start for Gulfstream, with things getting underway in Florida at 19:55. That’s the first of nine efforts, concluding at 00:22 and both the 20:28 and 22:12 both carry the Extra Place.

In the former, the drop in class could suit EVS Exponential, while later, 13/8 Mr Tito’s form figures of 213322 suggest he is bound to be in the frame and could again get the better of 7/1 Ain’t Wasting Time, who was third on that last outing.

There are seven races featured at Sacramento between 21:45 and 00:45, while they go off a further time at Evangeline Downs from 23:30 to 02:40.

Look out for the 23:57 in which connections are hoping for a second straight win for Flashburn (SP) as they take him back up to a mile following his 7f success earlier in the month.

California’s Del Mar hosts eight races from 00:00 to 03:25, while they go to post for a full 10 races at Iowa’s Prairie Meadows between 00:00 and 03:52.

The final two cards on Friday come from Delta Downs (00:15-03:10) and Fairmount Park (01:30-04:18).
