There are five US horse racing meetings to get the week rolling on Monday, with the first contest due off at Thistledown at 17:50.
As well as the action from Thistledown, where the last of eight races takes place at 21:20, there are events on at Finger Lakes, Colonial Downs, Horseshoe Indianapolis and Mountaineer.
Finger Lakes’ first race is due off at 18:10 and there are nine races from the Farmington venue with the finale set for 21:46.
Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion, which pays out on three places, is available in the opener from Finger Lakes when seven runners line up in a Claiming contest, including the fancied Let’s Maga (2/1), who should thrive when dropping down in class. She was only fourth of six most recently at this track earlier this month but this looks like a more presentable opportunity.
US Horse Racing Odds
Colonial Downs has nine races today, starting at 18:45 and going on until the 22:29, and the 20:09 is another of Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotional races. In it, Fit To Fly (8/13) is expected to be the one to watch after he won last time out at Hawthorne last month. His nearest challengers later are likely to be Pompous Prince (5/1) and Riccio (9/2).
Horseshoe Indianapolis is next on the agenda with the first of 10 races set to get underway at 19:30 with the last of the day there scheduled for 00:09. In the 22:05, Betfred are again paying out on three places and Lil Evie is set to head the market, currently priced at 10/11, as she looks to follow up on an impressive eight-length victory at this track most recently last month.
Finally, the meeting from Mountaineer, where there are eight races, takes place between 00:00 and 02:55.
