US Horse Racing Odds: Tuesday 10th May

The starting stalls at Finger Lakes Racetrack

Tuesday’s US horse racing action comes from seven tracks, starting with the eight-race card at Belterra Park from 17:35.

Alongside the meeting from the Cincinnati venue, which concludes after the eighth and final race there at 21:05, there are events scheduled later on Tuesday at Fairmount Park, Finger Lakes, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Mountaineer, Thistledown and Will Rogers Downs with the last race set for the early hours of Wednesday morning at 02:55 at Mountaineer.

Thistledown also stages an eight-race card between 17:50 and 21:21 and Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion features on half the card, in races two, three, five and seven, where three places are being paid out at 1/5 of the odds.

Finger Lakes has nine races on Tuesday, with the action taking place between 18:10 and 21:46 and an extra place offered in the first two races on the card, while the racing at Fairmount Park, where there are seven contests, is scheduled for 19:00-21:48.

Will Rogers’ meeting starts at 19:05 and runs until the 10th and final contest at 23:17, with Betfred’s “Extra Place” promotion offered in the races at 19:33, 21:25 and 21:53.

Horseshoe Indianapolis’ bumper 10-race card gets underway at 19:30 and is over after the finale at 00:09. The opener there is another of Betfred’s Extra Place – paying three places, as in the third race at 20:32 as well – races, and Guard Duty (SP) will hope the drop in grade here works for him. He has been successful twice before at this 6f distance and will hope to have the beating of his six rivals.

Finally, Mountaineer’s eight-race card is due to begin at 00:00 and the last race goes off at 02:55. In that final event, Towards The Light (SP) is one that stands out among the 11 runners having won a total of 13 previous races in distances ranging from 4f to 1m. He disappointed when finishing fifth of eight when sent off 2/1 fav on his latest outing at Mountaineer Park over 4f earlier this month but, on his debut for new trainer Terry Boyd, this 6f affair may well suit him better.
