Women’s Euros Odds: Tough to split Italy and Belgium

New feature .... our columnists are on the case

If we feel there’s something of note happening during the day – ‘we’ being the Betfred columnists at HQ – then henceforth we’ll be flagging it up accordingly.

Reckon you can never have enough opinions and advice from which to make sound judgements of your own, so we’ll be chipping in on a fairly regular basis in a bid to add to the fun for us, and far more importantly, you.

We’re back again today with another tip from the Women’s European Championship, and it served us well last week, with a few coming in.

I’m focusing on Italy and Belgium tonight, a perhaps pivotal game in the context of Group D.

With Iceland looking unlikely to claim a result against in-form France in their final group match, the meeting between Italy and Belgium could essentially be a play-off for a spot in the last eight.

Given both teams’ need to attack, I think there could be goals at both ends in this one. I don’t think there’s a lot to split the sides, given their performances in their other two fixtures. A draw may not be enough to qualify, but both sides can’t afford to lose.

That’s why I’m going with a draw and both teams to score here at 7/2 – I think there’s plenty of value in that.
